“Dairy plants consume significant amounts of heat and cold. Those media must be supplied reliably and economically. Commonly used solutions are based on compressor chillers with evaporators submerged in an ice water tank. This construction allows, on the one hand, to ensure a high level of safety due to buffering of prepared cold water, and on the other hand, it involves significant operating costs due to unfavorable compressor operation parameters. The solution to this problem is the modernization of the refrigeration plant by means of an absorption chiller pre-cooling the cold water returning from the production installation.” – Marcin Malicki, Director of Technology.
