Absorption Heat Pumps improve efficiency of biomass boilers

Biomass accounts for more than half of the heating potential in Poland. The
developed technologies for the effective con- version of wet biomass into heat constitute a
real opportunity to decarbonize the domestic heating sector. The use of Ab- sorption Heat
Pumps enables deep recovery of energy from exhaust gases, significantly improving the
efficiency of the overall process. The increase in the cost of carbon dioxide emissions makes
such an investment highly profitable. Paper presents four technological options of 15 MW
boiler station.
